What You Should Do With All Those Privacy-Policy Emails Before You Delete Them

The Goal
It was just a little less than twelve weeks ago when our team convened to discuss the project's proposed end results and the process of how we would make them a reality. Each one of us brought unique perspective and experience, creating a wonderful work environment for the law partners of Mills and Edwards - two multi-award winning partners who practice injury law.
The main goal: design a law office that would "Wow" their clients and scream professionalism. I do believe by the expressions shown on both partner's and their employee's faces, we have hit the mark.
"Ron, your work is been so fantastic that other tenants are sneaking into our office just to look at it"
The translucent film has been added to the glass for privacy. More furniture has arrived to fill the office space. The long awaited graphics by Ron Sherrill have all been installed. Ron had worked from scratch, recreating from the clients business card. The original information for the color codes and fonts were not retrievable. For the partners, it became official when they saw their names on the wall. One of the partners just stood back and paused with a smile of satisfaction. That was a wonderful moment for me! That kind of response is why I love designing and making a client's dream a reality. Priceless!
"Hey Ron, we met with the building manager today. I told him that he must start using you for interior decorating in the building. He said they plan to. We have the nicest looking suite space this size in the building. "
The clients are settling into their individual offices and discovering how to make each space more personable. I am enjoying the short emails and texts asking me what works. I shared with them that designing their personal space would be an ongoing labor of love. "Rome wasn't built in a day and so will it be for your offices". A personal space takes time to evolve.
Design Lesson: When personalizing your space, take your time. Place in it objects that represent your loves, character, and beliefs. Don't be afraid to be you, it's your space.

What's Next
We still await a couple of mill-worked pieces for the paralegal and reception areas. The window blinds should be arriving soon and more furniture is on the way. This project is nearing its end and the lawyers can't wait to focus all their attention on their clients.
Stay tuned....
